The time factor is often the Great Unknown in a Dying Process. A dying process has no fixed time limit and not knowing "how long we have" is hard for the dying person and the family. For this reason pacing yourself is very important.

Unless you take time for yourself, for letting out your feelings and taking care of your health, you may well run out of fuel before the process is over. An early all out effort can exhaust you and cause you to resent the dying person for taking so much of your time and energy. Before you get out of bed each day, you might want to ask yourself, "What nice thing can I do for myself today?"

Remember, whatever your feelings, they're 'OK' no matter how they feel or look to you.

The above information was a small portion gathered from the fine people at Caregivertips.com
