Lawrence J. “Skip” Schaffer, 83, of Saxonburg, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024.

He was born February 20, 1941 in Baldwin, PA, a son of the late Gilmore L. Schaffer and Margaret (Goblinger) Schaffer.

Skip was a retired Iron Worker with Local #3 at Allegheny Ludlum and was a member of the Armstrong Lodge No. 239 F& AM. He served in the United States Army stationed at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany.

Surviving are his children: Mark Schaffer of Saxonburg, Jeffrey (Kelly Adams) Schaffer of Sarver and Vincent Todd (Sharon) Schaffer of Milliken, CO.

His grandchildren: Kylee Schaffer, Justin Schaffer, Colby Schaffer, Caleb Dunn and Marlana Dunn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karin (Diekmann) Schaffer, she passed away September 8, 2022; 1 brother, William J. Schaffer and 1 sister, JoAnne Edmison.
